How to fill CEE 2023 Application form?

Engineering entrance examinations after 12th are an important step for students who wish to pursue a career in the field of engineering. These exams are a gateway to some of the top engineering colleges and universities in India and are designed to test a student’s knowledge and understanding of various subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Engineering entrance examinations provide a level playing field for all students. These exams are designed to be fair and unbiased, and they give every student an equal chance to prove their worth. This is particularly important in a country like India, where there is intense competition for admission to engineering colleges.

The Combined Entrance Examination also known as CEE is the most prestigious competitive entrance examination in Assam to get admission to some of the reputed engineering institutions of Assam. It is conducted by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) once every year. The importance of CEE cannot be overstated. Every year, thousands of students prepare for this exam, and only a small fraction of them are able to crack it. CEE is a true test of a student’s knowledge, aptitude, and dedication, and it is a stepping stone to a successful career in engineering.

CEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for admission to any of the colleges a candidate must fulfil the following conditions:

The applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
The applicant must be a Permanent resident of Assam with a valid PRC of Assam issued by the competent authority.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the Central Government Employee Quota must submit proof of their permanent residency from the conserved state authorities outside of Assam.
Candidate must pass the Qualifying Examination (10+2 standard) in single sitting, without any grace marks in the subjects Physics, English and other two optional subjects as mentioned in Annexure-I and also must be passed individually both in Theory and Practical.
Candidate must secure a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40% in case of ST) of Marks in English and other subjects as per Annexure -I. in the qualifying examinations.
The candidate must have a valid rank in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2023) conducted by ASTU for admission.
The candidate must not be below 17 years or above 21 years of age as on 1st August, 2023.
The Candidate must possess a good moral character. (Certificate from the head of Institute last attended to be submitted).

CEE 2023 Exam Pattern and Subject-Weightage:

CEE 2023 will be based on the syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Council (AHSEC). The examination will be of Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) type and comprise of a single OMR-based paper of 3 hours duration with the following distribution:

Physics	40 Questions	4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

How to fill CEE 2023 Application form?

Documents Required:

Scanned Photograph of the candidate. (maximum 35kb and minimum 20kb either in ‘.jpg’ or ‘.jpeg format)
Scanned Signature of the candidate. (maximum 30kb and minimum 15kb either in ‘.jpg’ or ‘.jpeg format)

1. Go to astu.ac.in and click on CEE-2023 Online Application Submission. Or you can directly click on this link to visit the registration page.

2. Click on Register Now.

3. Enter the required details and click on Login.

Note: If you click on Register the website will pop up a message with your application number. You must note it down for future reference and login again. However, the same would be sent to your registered mobile number.

3. Click on Application Form.

4. Read the given instructions and click on Next.

5. Fill the Application Form and upload the required documents. Click on Submit.

6. You have now successfully filled the application form. You can edit your application by clicking on ‘Edit Application Form’.

7. An Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand) only is to be paid online, which facilitate payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Assam Science and Technology University shall not accept hard copy of the Application Form and any other documents. Fee once paid, is not refundable. Click on Online Payment to complete the process.
